Even the President tells us that every bad event in the world is because America has made a mistake. The United States has made mistakes, and we admit to that. However, we have always tried to make it right and put people’s safety first. Americans today seem to think that American Exceptionalism should not exist at all, that America is no better than anybody else. This is simply not true. American Exceptionalism does not mean that the United States is better than any other country, it merely means that America is the exception. The world has been plagued with dictatorships and brutal regimes for its entire history. America, however, is different. People can come to this country and become whatever they want to be and can live the American Dream. You can go as far as you hardwork, determination, and dreams can take you. This is the exception. It is unlike anything the world has ever seen. People from all over the globe have yearned for the freedoms of the United States and have wanted to be like to land of opportunity, the shining city on the hill. After all, the last thing we want is to end up like Germany. We must think of the over 1.1 million soldiers that gave their lives to this country and to our freedom. Let us not make their sacrifices all for nothing. America can be great again, we just to become more informed and must rekindle the fires of the American Spirit. Let us not forget the words of Ronald Reagean, a firm believer in the American Exceptionalism, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn 't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the
