I immediately ran to the West side of town. I urgently knocked on the door of Cherry’s house until Cherry opened it. ‘’We’re going to rumble, right?’’ she asked. I nodded my head. Johnny’s dead!’’ Everyone turned their heads to look at me, even Darry and Paul. I knew that this would be the only chance I would ever be able to talk like this, so I tried my best. ‘’Dally, Bob, and Johnny are all dead and wanna know why?’’ I asked in a loud voice. ‘’We …show more content…

Boy, if it was one thing that the Socs did the best was to follow trends no matter what. There was dead silence for a few seconds. Me and Cherry were waiting for the Socs to say something. The Socs finally gave in and screamed, ‘’We are!’’ Even though it was unofficial, we all knew that it was agreed. The Socs and Greasers would never fight ever again. But I also feel bad for him because you can tell he's trying really hard to pass the test so he can get the research done on him, so he can become smarter.…

Throughout the story, The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton, the readers are told about the two gangs, the Greasers and the Socials, and how they affect each other’s lives.
