The Government: The Three Branches Of Government

There are three branches of government, the Executive branch, the Legislative branch, and the Judicial branch. Each of these branches have a vital role to play in the operation of or nation. These three branches work, not always together, to ensure the continued operation of our nation, and they each check one another to ensure that one branch does not become too powerful. Everyone has an individual opinion on what the most important branch of this federal government is, and everyone has a right to that opinion. In my opinion the Judicial branch is the most important branch and most likely the most powerful. In my opinion the most important and the most powerful branch of the government is the Judicial branch. Some could counter this statement by saying the most important is the Executive branch because it appoints the supreme court justices. Some could also argue it is the legislative branch because they approve or refuse the executive branches appointments for justices. I continue with my argument that the most important because once a justice is appointed and approved, the only way they can be removed is to retire or to be impeached. Even tho the Executive branch has executive orders, controls the diplomats and relations with other counties, and has the authority over our military. Even tho the Legislative branch can pass laws that affect how our country functions, controls the budget for the whole government and military, and they can impeach any elected official. The Judical branch interprets our fundamental ways of governing, their decisions have a huge impact on any topic and the overall function of the United States. The Judicial branch has the most impact and the longest lasting impact on our country as a whole, if we did not have the Judicial branch to interpret our governing document this country would be a very different
