At times, the federal rules and laws can be confusing and misunderstanding, which would bring up many arguments. We needed someone to settle these arguments in a fair way. This is where the constitution made this system of courts to solve this problem. Some important decisions have been made by the justices throughout our history. For instance, the Dred Scott case. The justices declared that slave was not a citizen, it is property. Therefore, it is unconstitutional. This judicial review had lead to the Civil War. Another example is case of The Brown v. Board of Education. The justices declared that segregation by law breaks the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
