The Gospels give the foundation and origination of the Christian faith and everything to follow, the remaining New Testament writings elaborate and express doctrine surrounding the applications of teachings, examples, and parables of Christ. I believe the Gospels were placed first to in the New Testament to effectively minister and help those in the Gentile community.
