I chose the Gooseberry to represent my theme because just like gooseberry when you first take a bite it will taste bitter. The same bitter feeling you go through when you confront a truth. The debate and the conflict that runs through your mind endless of times until you realize what you need to do. This symbol relates back to my theme because like a dragonfly that has flown the earth for 300 million years, it survived many hardships. Although confronting the truth is hard, sometimes after confronting the truth you learn to accept more to the side of the original truth and realize some hardship might be needed. This is similar to how I was adjusting to the math tutorial school my dad signed me up for. I did not imagine how hard it was to balance my homework from outside classes with day school homework, on top of extra curricular and family time. The truth of needing assistance in math I confronted but the truth I needed to confront with hardship was something I learned along the way.
