It was incredible travelling to India and being able to work for the American Embassy. There I did the following tasks; record keeping, inventory of supplies, reconciliation of inventory data, and mail merged critical documents for tax authorities and general administration work. During my trip to India, I worked alongside the American Embassy of New Delhi and partnered with the Make a Difference Foundation. Where I tutored English to victims of the Vivekanand fire, their ages ranged from seven to thirteen years. The following year I landed an internship with Michael Farah at a law firm. Michael Farah specialized in personal injury and real estate law. I enjoyed my time at the firm and was very hands on throughout the entire internship. I would alphabetize filing cabinets for previous and current clients, work on the Plaintiff’s original petition, and wrote my first published blog for the Farah Law Firm website. In 2015, I was chosen as UTA’s inaugural class of Terry Scholars which changed my life forever. Terry selects its scholars based on strong academic ability and notable record of leadership and volunteerism. One of the main organizations I am a part of on campus is The Terry Scholar Organization. We have accomplished so much in a small amount of time and helped the community along the way. We raised over $700 this year for The Arlington Police Department annual toy drive, beating our record last year. I have been a member of UTA volunteers for two years now, participating in Oozeball, bed racing, and other campus-wide events.
