Leadership is not synonymous with management. This statement is what brought me to the Gonzaga Organizational Leadership program and is considered the heart of my statement of purpose for acceptance into this program. I am a nine-year Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. I am proud of my time on active duty but have often felt that I have not done my job as a leader correctly.
