The Goldfish Story

People all the world are shaped mentally by relationships, and experiences because of the impact they have on our lives. Once we as human beings experience that, we are touched in some way by them. What they do, or now they make us feel leaves an emotional mental toll on us, which now shapes us. Relationships and experiences absolutely shape the way we act and or feel about anything that goes on in our lives.
After reading the goldfish story, I have more technical support for my thesis. One can learn many moral stories from the short story. What I happened to learn was that different varieties of people aren’t always bad to look forward to. Being that I’m not a people person meeting a new variety of people is not a personal favorite.

In the short stories “What, of this Goldfish Would You Wish,” and “The Wife’s Story,” by Etgar Keret and Ursulu K. LeGuin, respectively, and the majority opinion by Justice Brennan, “Texas vs Johnson,” characters or people do not show acceptance of others who are different. In the story “Goldfish” a young boy named Yonatan starts making a documentary (by himself) in which he knocks on peoples doors and asks, “If you found a talking goldfish that granted you three wishes, what would you wish for,” and he records their responses. One day Yonatan knocks on the door of a paranoid Russian who actually has a magic goldfish. Scared that Yonatan will take his fish Sergei (the Russian) grabs a stove burner and hits Yonatan on the side of his head, cracking…

I got started around 1992 and the country was in a recession and there were really no jobs, especially for ex-military. Diving was a passion of mine and this hobby was a passion of mine, so I was able to keep things that others weren’t able to keep and I had special permits from the government to keep things that weren’t typically allowed just to see if we could keep them alive to pull them off of the protect list. Doing so we were able to grow them and propagate them, so many things weren’t touchable became a hobbyist pet.…

In the beginning of Roberta M. Gilberts textbook Extraordinary Relationships: A New Way of Thinking About Human Interactions (1992), she argues “In the realm of the purely personal - after food, water, and shelter - the quality of relationships most often determines the quality of life” (p. 3). I believe this statement perfectly sums up how vital and necessary human relationships are for human life, and the strong impact they play on having a positive and meaningful life. There were several concepts presented throughout chapters 1 - 12. They were each of equal importance and each greatly impacts the understanding of relationships. In order to have a purposeful life and a greater understanding of relationships, there are many crucial concepts that must be understood, three of them are differentiation of self, thinking systems, and the relationship pattern of cutoff.…

The Red Lionfish, or Pterois volitans, is a subtropical fish species originating from Asia that has distinctive red, white, brown, and maroon stripes. Adult lionfish can grow up to around 17 inches long, with fan-like pectoral fins and many dorsal spines along their body, all of which are venomous (Raloff J. 2006). This peculiar fish is considered one of the most successful fish invader in the western Atlantic Ocean as it consumes a wide variety of prey. Several life history and behavioral traits make them an atypical marine invasive species because they facilitate their continued spread and population growth (Arias-González JE and al. 2011; Raloff J. 2006). These traits include the facts that P. volitans can reach sexual maturity within one year, all the while having high reproductive output, and experiencing virtually almost no predation of their own, due to their possession of large, venomous dorsal, pelvic and anal spines (Arias-González JE and al. 2011).…

The video by "Marcus Freudenmann, Emotional Intelligence in Relationship" explains about how our emotions affect our relationships. Freudenmann says that many people tend to remember the negative things that happen in the past relationships more than the positive things which, ultimately, these memories that we have in our thoughts affect the current and future relationships. Freudenmann adds that because our thoughts creat certain images of people and the images affect our emotions and reactions, all that influence the relationships. Freudenmann also explains the power of emotions, especially, the negative emotions, such as anger and madness; these negative emotions can affect physical response and our thoughts and creat vicious circle. In…
