Christianity was the intended religion of the Legend of Zelda series prior to the Golden Goddesses. Based on the real world religion, its existence is very indistinct, but it is indirectly implied throughout the game and the series. However, in in Japan, Christian symbols are sometimes used aesthetically in a nonreligious context. In the game, there is an item called the Book of Magic, which resembles a stereotypical depiction of the holy bible of Christianity as it has a cross on its cover. It was originally named The Bible but its name was changed in American releases due to it violating various guidelines of using religious content in products. In spite of this, the Cross can still be seen embossed on the book's cover and also its official artwork. While Dragon Nest doesn’t have apparent religious items, there are Clerics; a playable class that can become Priests or Paladins.
