When it comes to films there are plenty of aspects that are needed in order to complete a film to make it a great enjoyment for the viewers to be entertained. What helps a film would be the three elements of the film which are mise-en-scene, mise-en-shoot, and editing to get the film moving along. Mise-en-scene has elements that are a part of it that are an important factor for a lot of films such as lighting, wardrobe, and the actor movements. This is true for all works of film, yet some were able to use it to their advantage while others weren’t able to use one or more of these aspects. The clothing or costumes of the film is another part of the factor that ties a movie together. Costumes help bring the characters become a person for which the audience will come to identify with from that specific place and time period. The costumes can arrange to be a simple dressing gown for the actress or a space suit. When it comes to films having the characters dressed in the clothing of that time period. What one of the most renowned films for it use of costumes is Gone with the Wind by Victor Fleming, George Cukor, and Sam Wood. From the vivid green dress that Scarlet O’Hara was wearing to the simple outfit that Mamma was wearing, costuming is important to draw in the attention of the audience. As for The Woman in Gold, this movie was based off an event that happened in 1999 and World War II. The costumes for 1999 were not too difficult to recreate due to the fact that we still have plenty of photographs to go by to remake certain suits and other costumes that are needed, however, when it comes to recreating the costumes during and before WWII the designers had to rely on looking at pictures upon pictures, along with research to make sure that they everything
