Some of the advantages are that it promotes global trade, causes economic growth, lowers consumer prices, and creates jobs. According to The Pros and Cons Of Globalization: “It also provides poor countries, through infusions of foreign capital and technology, with the chance to develop economically by spreading prosperity creates the conditions in which democracy and respect for human rights may flourish.” While on the flip side, multinational corporations are said to be socially unjust with unfair working conditions and have no concern for the environment with mismanagement of natural resources and ecological damage. While looking at the American economy, globalization had caused an outsourcing of jobs to places like China. This leaves Americans with job insecurity. On the other hand, economists say that American consumers now have a more products to choose form at cheaper prices ("The Pros And Cons Of Globalization"). This is better for foreign policy because even though we are sending jobs away, we are trading with other countries. The goal of all foreign policies is to gain from the exchange of goods between countries. America is bringing in a variety of products at cheaper rates.
