The textbook lacks diversity, thus adding more cultures and societies would be sufficient and this improvement could make the textbook less Eurocentric if they chose more diverse cultures. Overall, the book negligently informs the reader about different cultures. We have numerous countries politics to analyses and the authors select the most extremely mainstream countries. The authors do have a selection of charts and short articles about other countries, but the mainstream countries remain the focal point of the textbook, consequently these terrains can be humdrum. Adding more material from a vast amount of different cultures and societies would upsurge the value of information in the textbook. This feature would certainly intensify the reader’s interest, and be a further worldview of comparative politics, which was the writers’ intentions. In addition, the textbook comprises of fewer current materials, which imbalances the learning experience. Equality of past and current regimes would be beneficial to the textbook. If the student considers the textbook is tedious, then the student will hate the course, thus results in a possible failing grade or less than average. Comparative politics is a subject the authors need to work towards getting younger students to be involve in, because we require more voters and people who can understand political issues. Without younger people knowing why politics is important to be involve in our society will go to madness, so the authors need to make sure the appeal to younger the generations and people who have no general idea what politics is all about. Generally, if we were deprive of politics there would be no laws or morals. For a society to stay in good standing there needs to be rules, regulations, and morals. Participation is the key to politics to it is crucial to the textbook writers, instructors, and parents to influence young minds to be politically active. Furthermore, the authors need to come up with more strategies to make the students more likely to participate in politics, as the same with instructors and parents. I know very many young adults and even older individuals that do not care about politics. In fact, these individuals do not even watch the news nor the important political events.
