With their parents not being able to support them as kids they made sure to get a good education and good jobs to suppose themselves. The walls kids grew up to mature kids. They got jobs, started lives and got their own house and were able to support themselves. They also made their own smart decisions. “A year after dad died, I left Eric. he was a good man, but not the right one for me. And Park Avenue was not where I belonged.” (Walls 280) #Jeannette is not the kid that she used to be when they were always moving from house to house ans from one city to another.# She grew up to be a responsible adult. But she will always live with the memories that occured in her childhood. With out those memories she would be a totally different person. Her sister Maureen grew up differently than the rest of the walls kids and she definitely grew up to be different than the rest of them. “She spent so much time with the families of her friends that she often didn't seem like a member of our family” (Walls 206).# She turned out differently than they did and it showed in the way she acted and dealt with her problems.# This impacted her relationship with her family. Everyone else was always around helping each other through their problems and maureen never had as big of problems as anyone else. And if she did have problems other people would solve them for her. She grew apart from them and that's how she grew apart from the rest of the family. “ Mom also said she'd been in touch with maureen, who was still living in California. And that our kid sister whom i hadn't spoken to since she left New York City, was thinking of coming back for a visit” (Walls 288).#With Maureen living in California the family has not talked to her for a while# but even with their family apart and having conflict they still come together as a
