(AGG) There are many ways that can make someone be forced to reject their society. (BS-1) Jonas thinks everything thing is normal in his perfect society and try's his hardest to fit in. (BS-2) Jonas starts to get curious about what his community has been hiding from him with the little evidence he has.
(BS-3) Jonas needs to configure a plan to rebel against his dreadful community.(TS) Jonas learns the feel of loneliness throughout the book which drives him to rebel against his society and do something about it.

(SIP-A) Jonas finds it unfair and outrageous that the people of the community have no memories of a real life. (STEWE-1) ‘The Giver told him that it would be a very long time before he had the colors to keep. "But I want them!" Jonas said angrily. "It isn't fair that nothing has color!"’(97). Now that Jonas knows, what color is, he is jealous that he does not have it in his everyday life. (STEWE-2) ‘"Not fair?" The Giver looked at Jonas curiously. "Explain what you mean." "Well ... "Jonas had to stop and think it through. "If everything's the same, then there aren't any choices! I want to wake up in the morning and decide things! A blue tunic, or a red one?"’(97). Now Jonas knows more about color, and now he knows about choices. Jonas is very angry that he doesn't have choices to make in life everyday. (SIP-B) Jonas finds out what they are doing to the innocent infants and seniors in the community when they get sent to “elsewhere”. (STEWE-1) Jonas finds out his dad kills Innocent people for a living and he doesn't even realize what he's doing. ”Jonas stared at the screen, waiting for something to happen. But nothing did. The little twin lay motionless. His father was putting things away. Folding the blanket. Closing the cupboard….He killed it! My father killed it! Jonas said to himself, stunned at what he was realizing”(150). This really gets Jonas upset and he feels as if he had been lied to. Jonas is so mad at his father, he doesn't want to see him so he refuses to go home that night. ‘"I won't! I won't go home! You can't make me!" Jonas sobbed and shouted and pounded the bed with his fists’(152). (STEWE-2) ‘"Fiona is already being trained in the fine art of release," The Giver told him. "She's very efficient at her work, your red-haired friend. Feelings are not part of the life she's learned.”’(153).
