Doing some research, North Korea seems to have more common things to The Giver than any other events and countries. North Korea has strict rules, limited freedom, is controlled by Government, and its like a dystopia as well. The people have many rules to obey and if they dont theres a punishment, this county is basically under heavy control. The government keeps close watch on its citizens to make sure they follow the rules. Not just that, but North Korea doesn't allow people to leave the country, they have abortions due to the certain amount of children, and the people who have broken laws got a punishment that is similar to The Giver’s …show more content…
Well it's The Giver’s turn. The Giver has limited freedom, strict rules, controlled by authority figures, and it is a utopia/dystopia as well. The people were like completely brainwashed because everyone didn't know the obvious things like color. Some were kept from knowing certain things. If a person broke a rule they were killed “released”, no one was allowed to leave the community, and people had to “release” children because there’s a certain amount for each mother. In this community, no one has feelings for people who were “released” except for the main character and The Giver guy. That would lead to a corruption when people start to find out what their community is really like. It wasn't a fair thing to do, making people not know the importance of life that
