In Jonas’s society in the novel The Giver is a dystopian society . The Giver is explaining a dystopian community. It has many qualities that describe a place where i wouldn’t want to go. The government controls everything the citizens have no say in their own life. But even though The Giver is violent it is what makes The Giver interesting.Here are some reasons why The Giver is a dystopia society. Sameness is where everything and everyone is the same like same color and same look. Color is what makes the world fun and exciting . And not plain black and white that is not fun. Also there is no animals that weird how do they eat meat he talked about eating meat in the novel but they don’t have animals. And The Giver and Jonas are the only ones who can see color even though Jonas is still warming up to it. There community needs to step up their game . The last reason is they kill innocent people if those people are not perfect . Or if they don’t come to meet certain standards How they do it is they stick a needle in the person or childrens neck and when they go limp they put them in a bag and they go in a garbage shoot .In the novel Jonas was talking about one of the twins in the nurturing center getting released (which means death). I wouldn’t want to live in a world where if i wasn’t perfect i would be killed or if i don’t reach certain standards i get a needle to the neck.
