Many years ago I had taken the Myer-Briggs Personality Test for an employer. Unable to recall my personality type, I have again taken the test and this time been identified as the ENFJ or The Giver. This means I am classified as an Extravert, Intuitive, Feelings, Judging personality type. My type is considered to be one who desires to help others as a teacher of humanity or as “The Giver”. My temperament is the Intuitive-Feeler whose primary objective is identity seeking, the Teacher. I was raised by my maternal grandparents who were Sensors, but they taught us to be aim and dream big. My Intuitive rating was a 16%, so I do possess some sensor characteristics. Making the decision to pursue my Master’s degree comes from wanting to accomplish my dream. Since I was a little girl I saw myself as being an Accountant and my children see me as a role model for creating and reaching my goals. One that would give back to less fortunate communities and give them basic instructions and knowledge of financial literacy and budgeting. This is using the ingenuity and allowing others to see the bigger picture. Right now I am having a difficult enough time teaching my teenage son and his friends the importance of understanding a paycheck, balancing a bank register, tithing, and saving towards a goal. Often given insight to circumstances that management may not be aware or have overlooked. Working for an agency with over 500 employees that operates 24/7 has its challenges. I believe that the agency must consider the effects of policies on the employees, as well as the residents. Being a feeler is being optimized in volunteering for activities associated with my son’s senior class. This is dealing with the parents/guardians of 500 students, teachers, and school administrators. In the planning of the senior breakfast for the first day of school, we encountered issues different from previous years. It took much effort to rely information to everyone involved of the problems and how we would resolved them to be in the best interest of all involved, but especially the senior class. Very good
