What is the Gibbs Reflective model?
The Gibb’s reflective model is a model which helps break down events or situations by taking an account of your personal feelings, and it looks to how your personal feelings helped influence the situation or event which took place at that moment in time. The way the model helps do this is by splitting the event/situation into 6 different aspects, these aspects are:

Applying Gibbs reflective cycle
As requested, I’m going to apply the Gibbs reflective cycle to a moment in my life, the moment I’ve chosen is of me decided to attend Birmingham City University instead of choosing other options available to myself.
Experience:
What happened was I got accepted by several University’s and I had to choose between Birmingham City, Staffordshire University and Derby University.
Feelings:
My feelings at that time were pretty jovial, because I was happy to see that I had so many options at hand to choose from, but there was also a hint of indecisiveness and nervousness creeping in as I wanted to make sure I chose the best solution for …show more content…
Conclusion:
After a few hours of thinking I came up with a conclusion which I thought would be the best for me, which was deciding to come to Birmingham City University, as I felt I would get the best learning experience and knowledge.
Action plan:
The only thing I would have done differently in a situation like this, was to have outside help on choosing my destination as I found myself to be very indecisive at times, which caused issues with my emotions and it stressed me out at times, so defiantly having a family member to sit down with and to talk about my options would definitely be a good step in the right direction when it comes to a situation like this.
Overall my key learning point I’ll take away from this event in my life is that sometimes you have to make sacrifices in order to get where you really want, and that you’ll have to account for your own emotions as well as emotions of others that can come into play when making big decisions in
