Usually, if the audience that watched one of the many plays performed by others, they get the wrong information about what actually happened in the novel, like how in a play, Scrooge’s gravestone grows up to 10 feet high, begins to glow green, and has smoke coming from it. In the novel, however, the gravestone does not do anything that happened in the play, and it’s a normal gravestone.
In short, the play and novel are similar in some ways, like how they are both based or loosely based on the novel, both versions have the three ghosts, and how Scrooge becomes good heart person and enjoys Christmas. They are also different, like how the ghosts are portrayed differently in the play and novel appearance
