The Ghetto Made Me Do It is written by Francis Flaherty and its historical tragedy about violent and crime. Francis Flaherty describes a young girl named Lisa Morgan who grew up surrounded by violence and then commits armed robberies and a murder. After reading the story, there was question “Do I agree or disagree with the idea that Morgan the main character is responsible for her action.? I don’t think I will agree or disagree, but I will qualify with the idea that Morgan is responsible for her action. There are many differences in opinion, but sometimes opinions are forced onto others who may disagree. I agreed I thought she needs to pay the price and now she needs to get punishment for what she did. Even if she had violent family and she grow up in that life but still she had a choice she could have become someone in life or maybe good citizen just like everybody else. Her choice was she didn’t have to go and rob those people or murder those innocent people. Her family might be the big role of her life, but sometimes she could have to get out of that box of crime and become someone, she didn’t need take the same way and become improper, obnoxious and violent. On line, 29 authors wrote, “How does one live like this? Morgan gives a hint. “My ears be open,” she told the psychologist, “even when I’m sleep.” People say they fear that because of the all the violence in their childhood might transform into anger. These people become angry at everything, angry of being part of that society because their life was surrounded by violence which they couldn’t escape. Maybe this is just another excuse this doesn’t meant uneducated people from ghetto can’t be someone important in the life.
