The Gestapo Thesis

By looking at many sources one can see that Jews were treated terribly. During the events of the Holocaust, many Jews were taken to concentration camps. According to survivors, Jews were not treated very well. They were even treated more like animals the humans in there. In the stories “The Gestapo is born”,”I’m telling the Story”, and “Jakob’s Story” one can see that the Jews were mistreated badly.

In “The Gestapo is born” it shows that he gained power quickly in the events of World War 2. For example, the authors tell us the Nazis knew about almost everyone. The History Place writes,”creating a hugely national intelligence system that kept tabs on everyone.”(The History Place paragraph 9). This shows that the Gestapo knew about everyone. For example, the poet Magdalena Klein tells us that all the Jews wanted when they were in the concentration camps was freedom. Klein writes”I don’t care if we all perish, Just that we see this one thing.” (Klein stanza 3). When says “this one thing” she is referring to freedom, which is the one thing they wanted most.
