Once God had created all the animals, plants, cattle, and land, he decided to make mankind. He makes Adam & Eve in replica of his own image. “God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it;”” (Genesis 2). God noticed how human activity began to intensify due to the reproduction of life. The sons of God seen that the daughters of others were attractive and began marrying anyone that they choose. This upset God making him feel like he regretted making human beings on earth. “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled” (Genesis 6). This is when God knew he had to create something that would diminish the human kind. He knew a flood was suitable for the endeavor that needed to be done. Much like Astrahasis being a favorite of his God Enkil, Noah was a favorite of God in the book of Genesis.
