Even those these concepts are changing, gender roles still exist in today’s society. Most women complete more chores than men, while most men bring home more money than women. In the future, more of the gender role lines will continue to fade. The fading of the lines began a while ago around 1920. That is when women began working more and being independent also. The start of the independence was likely due to the nineteenth amendment being passed allowing women the right to vote.
