Currently we have gang members on the streets committing crimes more and more each day, because of the actions they decide to do on the streets they end up in jail, or even young people end up in juvenile. Currently there are roughly around 1.4 million gang members in the prison system and this is just in the United States. They are in there for first degree murder, possession of drugs, and the list can go on. When it comes to gang members they are not taken on lightly by the FBI, they have special forces to grab these gang members commiting crimes, like Safe Streets Task Forces, the National Gang Intelligence Center, and the MS-13 National Gang Task Force.(https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/violent-crime/gangs). When people decide to join or play part of a gang they know the consequences of it and one of them is prison. August of 2013 Edwin Carcamo former gang member of a world wide gang named ms13, was shot two blocks down from his house while coming home from work , by rival gang member latin kings. Edwin ended up in the hospital with seveir wounds. Months later gang members from ms13 send two Latin king leaders to the hospital with stab wounds and severe gun wounds. Gang members are taken to the emergency room often because of their crazy lifestyle, the lifestyle they choose. Many gang members that go into the hospital to recieve medical treatment usually go under a false name to prevent any rival gang members to reach them and do any more damge to them. In hospitals in Chicago they call june, july, and august trauma season. Because of so many victims they treat because of violence.
