The Game Theory Behind The Soccer Penalty

As a young athlete, I aspire to play soccer for as long as possible. This sport actually involves more than just skill, speed, and touch on the ball. There is a certain event that can happen when two teams are set to a tie at the end of the regulational time. I have had these events happen many times. Personally, I want to know the probability you will make it on your first, second, or third try. I would also like to discover the game theory behind the soccer penalty kick. Game theory is the branch of mathematics concerned with the analysis of strategies for dealing with competitive situations where the outcome of a participant's choice of action depends critically on the actions of other participants. The variables in this must be cut down or condensed down to size to make the math bearable. The shooter will kick it right or left. This will make him able to score if he chooses the opposite of the goalkeeper. If he doesn’t choose correctly the keeper will save the ball. The contingencies of this is that the player will not miss the goal and he is right footed. The foot problem actually plays a role in placement, speed of shot, and accuracy of the player. To restrict these variables, This must be envisioned as a math expedition not a real life situation. The advanced math that is involved in the real life situations is beyond my level of mathematical capabilities. The intriguing part about this investigation is, I will show the difference in probabilities between super-human keepers/players, and also show the less likely skilled players/keepers. The advanced version of this investigation involves the use of many variables at once , which at an 11th grade level is extremely challenging ,but I will do my best in explaining the game theory behind soccer penalty
