The life of JROTC has been growing ever since the “National Defense Act of 1916”, and will continue to prosper as long as this country stays strong. There has been a past of JROTC, a present, and there will of course be a future. To determine the future of JROTC, we must look at the past of it. According to the “JROTC Curriculum”, JROTC began in 1916 from the ‘National Defense Act of 1916.” The purpose of JROTC is to graduate high school, be good citizens by knowing and exercising the rights, responsibilities, privileges, and freedoms of good citizenship. Many who took JROTC in high school joined a part of the military after high school. How many cadets participates determines what will happen next in the future. The present day is what shows the power and responsibility of the JROTC program. …show more content…
JROTC shows cadets the actions that can come from being a good citizen. What students do now picks out the future of their lives. Being in the present can show you the history of being in the United States of America and the beginning of JROTC. Cadets are required to follow the curriculum throughout their JROTC experience. The future of JROTC is held in the hands of the cadets from the past and present. Everyday is a new day, every day is the future, and everyday is the past. People are stuck in the trance of the past, but their overall goal should be to expand their mind to explore the future. What cadets do and don’t do now, will definitely affect them in the future.
