Bernie Sanders is running for the Democratic nomination against Hillary Clinton for the 2016 United States Presidential election. His stance is pro-choice meaning he believes the government should stay out of the business of the mother and the decision she makes with her child. Clinton also has the same stance as Sanders. That means they believe the mother should keep the child and not get an abortion. For most of them, they are okay with the mother getting an abortion in instances of rape, incest, and if the mother is going to die. Those candidates being Ted Cruz, John Kasich, and Donald

America is supposed to be a free country and if abortion becomes illegal, the government is taking away the rights of some women. Also, a lot would agree with him for the previous reasons. Even though republicans do agree in some cases to let it happen, Bernie’s way is a sure go at any choice the girl may choose. On January 22, Bernie committed to Hyde Amendment which prevents the use of taxpayer dollars to fund abortion services. He also stated that he is in full favor of protecting the women’s rights by being pro-choice. Not only is Bernie pro-choice. Hillary Clinton is also pro-choice and also believes that no abortion shouldn’t have any form of foreign assistance towards abortion (2016 Presidential Candidates on Abortion - Ballotpedia). Donald Trump made a big mistake in the debate about the topic of abortion. Donald Trump had said, “there has to be some form of punishment” for the woman who did the abortion. There should not be a punishment for the woman who did the abortion. A child can impact a human’s life in a huge way and they may not be ready for this big step in life. They definitely shouldn’t be punished if their pregnancy was due to rape. They can not control what happened to them except by getting a

Trump’s views align with pro-life supporters and he believes that abortions should only be allowed in extenuating circumstances such as rape, incest, or jeopardy of maternal health. However, according to Trump, other aspects such as abortions without reason in the first trimester should not be allowed. Trump, as well as his running mate, Mike Pence, have stated in their campaigns that they strongly oppose abortion. One of the main items on Trump’s agenda includes the defunding of Planned Parenthood and placing stricter barriers on abortion. Trump states that Planned Parenthood’s services that include reproductive health are very beneficial to society, however, their main concern is making abortions available to women, which is something he does not support.…

Being pro-choice does not mean you support murder. It’s supporting the mother and father’s choice of wanting a better life for the unborn child. It’s us understanding if a young girl won’t be able to raise a child because she was raped. It’s not meaning we want a family or woman to go through that loss, it’s that they support their decision with understandable reasons. Pro-choice isn’t supporting promiscuous women frequently getting abortions because they don’t practice safe sex.…

Every woman needs the right to control her body, although some would argue that the fetus isn 't her body. Again, Linda Lowen stated, “it is attached by the placenta and umbilical cord, its health is dependent on her health, and cannot be regarded as a separate entity as it cannot exist outside her womb” (Boston). If women are restricted from being able to access safe abortions then we are going back on years and years of work to fight for these rights. The push to make abortion illegal is without a doubt regression. Women need to be in control of their own bodies, and not have to fear the government making decisions for them.…

As the supreme court stated, denying an abortion may lead stressful life and future for the mother.
