They must agree to a nonphysical discipline policy. The potential foster care parents must have a fire, health and safety inspections of the home, and vaccinate all pets. They must get CPR and First Aid certified. They also must attend 20 hours or more of training each year. Foster parents need to make sure they provide nurture to their foster child, and support them in their school activities. The foster parents must pay attention to the adjustments to the home, school, and community and also any problems that may arise, so they can report that to the caseworker. The foster parent must work with the caseworker and other team members to help get the children back with their birth families. It is important that foster parents provide a positive role model to birth families and help the foster children learn life
