RCL’s commitment to the environment is embodied in our Save the Waves program, a company-wide philosophy that guides our ongoing efforts to minimize our environmental footprint, set new environmental standards and lead food safety and product quality initiatives for our industry. When the Fuel Team developed a business case for fuel procurement it depended on a variety of factors including market influence, supply chain footprint, stakeholder expectations, government regulations, business strategy and organizational culture. Overall, fuel supply chain sustainability practices must integrate globally recognized principles, participate in standards development and oil industry thought leadership; including the ability to rapidly respond to regional business drivers in an effort to increase market influence, brand recognition and industry partnerships.
