Analyzing both artworks in the Mexico 1900-1950: The Frida Exhibit, I noticed the similarities the pair of artworks have. The same sadness drew me in closer for an advance understanding of their purpose. The two designs demonstrate the realistic conditions or appearances during the 1900 to 1950 time period. The details of appearance came into view as the living styles of Mexico City. The creation of each artwork represented the expressions are hardship, suffering, and unhappiness. In Frids’s two dimensional painting has a narrative concept that addresses her opinion of beautiful. Not sure if her intentions were to announce her “very ugly” portrait to society but my reaction was the opposite. I believe in today’s world must people find themselves
