I obtained information from this website about the Freedmen’s Bureau. The Freedmen’s Bureau was established on March 3, 1865. The Bureau was originally sat up to last for one year to see how the program worked. President Andrew Johnson felt as if the Bureau was unconstitutional so he vetoed it and would not let it go through. Although the bill was vetoed once it was tried again and that time it did not get vetoed. The Bureau had many great aspects inside of it such as a military that was in place to enforce its rules and regulations.
