I also enjoyed the connections that were formed between the characters. There were, of course, major ones that affected the outcome of the book tremendously, but there were also smaller ones whose importance wasn't stressed as much. One example of this that caught my eye was the reappearance of the Franklin Novelty Company throughout the story.In chapter 17, the Franklin Novelty Company buys Tateh's books, which leads to him making a good deal of money later on in the novel. This money allowed Tateh to travel to Atlantic City and meet Mother. The Franklin Novelty company is also mentioned in chapter 20 when Ford was discussing his beliefs with Morgan. They bonded over their beliefs and Ford agreed that there may be something to Morgan's ideas
