There are four kinds of domestic violence the first and most general exercise of control in an intimate partner relationship, and the one most …show more content…
This kind of violence is when neither the individual or partner want control over one another but can lead some kind violence. This is very common when the emotions, jealousy, stress, and angry can come into effect. This kind of violence is interesting because it is one of the hardest ones to predict. The answer is education. The only way to stop a problem is to first understand it and kill it at the roots. Johnson agrees with me; he states “The simple solution to this dilemma (simple once you see it) …” Many people do not know the signs of a possibly abusive relationship and many women can be killed not knowing because some never speak up that they are being abused. For example, if we educate children both boys, and girls early on in school of the general topic, then later have it available in health-care settings to show individuals they are no alone and can get the help they need. Then the children can be less likely to end up in one when they get older. Many children that have parents that are in an abuse relationship are teaching them this is normal and are more likely to end up in one as well (Public and Private Families page 358). Also, it will not just help end abuse relationships, but also child abuse and even sexually abuse. When family’s have child abuse and sexually abused many children will go on not telling anyone because they don’t understand what is happening to them. They can go through depression, created a lack of trust in other people and lower self-esteem. Also, many children in physical abuse homes can die from it, roughly 1,100 fatalities in 1999 from child abuse. (Public and Private Families page
