"Gospel" is a Greek word (euangelion) that arrived at Spanish through evangelium and the Latin word which literally means good news. This good news concerns the life and preaching of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God made man. There are four gospels: Gospel of Matthew (Mt), Mark (Mk), Lucas (Lc), John (John). Part of Sacred Scripture and in particular the New Testament. Therefore they belong to the canon of Scripture, which is "the complete list of the sacred writings, that the Apostolic Tradition has allowed the Church discerned.
