Manipulation is a word used and exercised by many companies and big corporations for their benefits. One the major branch of manipulation is advertisement manipulation whether it is through media, billboards or newspapers it seems to be everywhere. Then there is food manipulative advertisement. The use of manipulative techniques to lure the potential customers to buy consumer products that they do not necessarily need. It gradually grows making a person overweight. When an adolescent consumes fast/junk food, the fats in the food are not digested properly as a result of these children/adolescents gradually tends to gain weight and end up being obese. In an article published by Paula (2015), she claims that approximately 42 percent of adolescents in the US consume fast food on regular basis which leads to gaining extra 6 pounds weight per year. This study was done on 6212 youngster in America. The study above suggests that eating unhealthy does actually matters in gaining extra pounds which might lead to being obese or overweight. Therefore, it can be argued that food manipulative advertisement does exist and works better on adolescent as they still are under learning process.
Furthermore, food manipulative advertisement among adolescents leads to being obese. This gradually leads to many severe health consequences as these foods are full of calories and little nutrition. The health risk factor includes blood sugar spike, high blood pressure and many more. The picture below shows different type of risk factors formed due to too much consumption of fast food or junk food which is full of carbohydrates, added sugar, unhealthy fats and
