September 30, 1960, there was a new age upon us, or should I say a stone age. The Flintstones, a name that you all should know. They are a modern stone age family from the town of Bedrock. It was a TV show created and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. They were created as a slapstick comedy that was the most financially successful network for three decades, which makes them one of the best TV cartoons ever made.
The main character is a man named Fred Flintstone, he is a husband and father that works a bronto-crane for his money. His caring wife Wilma Flintstone who is also more level headed and intelligent than him. Their daughter Pebbles and their pet Dino who is a dinosaur but acts as if he was a dog. The Flintstones had neighbors, the Rubbles. Barney Rubble, Fred’s best friend share a lot of the same interests. For example, they both like golf and love bowling and they also find themselves working the same job. Barneys wife Betty who is best friends with Wilma together they have a habit of spending money. Bamm-Bamm is their abnormally strong adopted son, his name comes from the only phrase he said as a baby. The …show more content…
For example: they used a baby mammoth as a vacuum, an adult mammoth used as a shower, they used a instant camera which is a bird carving the picture into rock with its beak, an electric razor with was changed to two shells with a bee inside to make it vibrate, a pelican with soapy water in his mouth used as a washing machine and lots more. The directors were genius, always knowing what the audience wants and bringing it to life. Today the Flintstones are the second greatest tv cartoon of all time (after the Simpsons). I think that they are one of the best tv network because of what time it was made and what technology was available at the time, so in conclusion I think the Flintstones are the greatest TV cartoons of all
