Abortion gives women the power of their own bodies. Many feel that it is there choice what they do with their children born or unborn. Abortion is a fundamental right declared by the US Supreme Court 1973. The decision stated that the Constitution gives "a guarantee of certain areas or zones of privacy," and that "This right of privacy... is broad enough to encompass a woman 's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy." However, on the other hand pro-choice also makes a point about the physical safety of the mothers. For example what if the mother’s life was in danger if she went through with the birth? Would abortion be acceptable then? In other cases where women have experienced incest or rape, it seem almost unfair that they should have to keep the child after such a traumatic event. Also people think it is acceptable to play god when deciding whether to keep a life or to get rid of it. Today’s America is consider the “Throwaway age” state The Pope.
