The Legend of the flatman is no ordinary man. I witnessed it firsthand when I was a boy before I had a beard. I blew the Flatman out of my window and into the dark night never seen again. Then my father stormed into my room and I told him what I saw. Then he said, “It is all in your head now go to, bed.”
After growing up in Prague, Czech Republic, I moved to the neighboring country, Austria closer to the Alps. I managed to get a job as a construction worker in Prague. One day we were building a new apartment near the Older side of the town. Well, not “old” for long. Poor visibility forced the foreman to stop the day's shift. I jumped out of the crane and started toward to the end of the construction zone. My pickup was in an area that was flagged off. Next to me were my good friends Heinz and Frantz. As I got closer to my pickup, I felt around for my keys. I then realized they are in the cockpit of the crane. As I turned to head back, I felt a spine chilling sensation hit me as if someone was watching me.. Then out of the fog a crane arm came swinging full throttle. I closed my eyes and heard a loud grunt followed by a crashing sound. I opened my eyes to find the beast in a pile of debris. I then heard the voice of my friend Heinz shouting my name. I ran towards the crane as I got closer, Heinz tossed me my keys, I said “Thanks for coming back.” Then a roar erupted and the beast popped out sending metal debris everywhere. Heinz and I ran for the truck, our legs carrying us as fast as they could as, the Flatman was right on our tails. Then I heard Frantz yell, “Duck”! Both Heinz and I hit the dirt. Just as we ducked the Flatman attempted to tackle us. As he leaped towards us a metal pole hit the Flatman right in the
