Marie Antoine Fakhoury, a 27 year old Lebanese woman, was hurried to the hospital with severe burns on her body. One week later, Marie passed away from these burns, and what turned out to be the reason behind this injury is her husband. Fakhoury’s parents blame the husband for setting their daughter on fire. The husband’s declaration was that he was sterilizing her body with alcohol after a bath. But does anyone really wash their body after taking a bath with alcohol? Nisrine Rouhana was buried on November 2014 in her hometown, after her spouse murdered her in a horrific act of domestic violence. Physical abuse is when the offender intentionally hurts the victim by hitting, kicking or pushing the victim, throwing object at the victim, chocking or throwing the victim, and threatening the victim with sharp weapons. Emotional women abuse is achieved by insulting the victim repeatedly, calling the victim names and yelling at the victim, blaming the victim about everything and threatening to kill or hurt her and her children. Social abuse is done when the offender insult the sufferer publically, crushes the sufferer’s capability as a spouse and lover, isolating the sufferer from friends and family, deprive the sufferer from money and spending money on himself. Sexual abuse is a common kind of violence in Lebanon and worldwide; it is when the offender expect the victim to have sex after a violent act, judge the victim’s sexual performance, prohibiting the victim of affecting during sexual performance, and constantly accusing the victim of looking at, talking to or having sex with another person. Finally, spiritual abuse is decreasing the victim’s sense of right or wrong, questioning the victim’s sense of reality, and denying or contradicting the victim’s spiritual beliefs.
