Topic One: The five stages of team development are, forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning. Forming is the stage where similarities are identified and behaviors are established.
Storming is the stage where conflict of ideas and stress are dealt with. Norming is when the goal is identified and conflicting ideas are accepted and appreciated. Performing is when the individuals within the group fill roles when necessary to streamline processes. Finally adjourning is when the goals are accomplished and possible separation. In my group we did not follow the normal pattern of these stages, instead we started on Forming onto norming, then storming and finally adjourning.

The first deconstruction began with the three qualifications for the towers, height, strength, and elevator. Then these tasks were sorted by difficulty and finished accordingly. First we worked on the strength factor; we tested the materials to determine strength and efficiency. Here we designed a tower of trusses connected by a truss tower. Secondly, we decided to tackle the height aspect. With limited resources a reassessment called for a similar design. Here we designed a simple yet strong two pillar design. Finally there came the elevator which proved to be the most difficult. Our first design was a trough and pulley system but was complex and required too many resources. We then refined it into a simple ski lift system. Our team went through each step of the design process on each section of our final project, and
I believe we spent enough time in each step of the design process to formulate an acceptable outcome to continue onto the next step.
Topic Four: I enjoyed our final product through all its successes and failures. An aesthetic feature that I like was the use of string in our design. As an eagle scout I am well versed with knots and enjoyed
