What is the Hajj?

A: Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. And Mecca being The most holiest city for muslims. Performing Hajj is one of the five pillars of islam, which includes Shahadah( Islamic creed belief that there's only one God), Salat( performing prayers) , Zakat(is form of Helping to the poor), and Sawm(fasting).

Why is it important in Islam ?

A: its designed to promote a gathering to form a bondage of brotherhood and sisterhood in Islam. And it indicates that everybody is equal in the eyes of Allah(Lord).

Have you participated in the Hajj? If So, When ?

A: I have not personally participated the Hajj. But when I do get the opportunity I will.

A: Mecca, is a city in a that's located in the western of Saudi, Arabia. Also the birthplace of prophet Muhammad and, where the Islamic faith started. And where the Quran was first revealed to Muhammad.

What kind of clothes are worn by pilgrims during the Hajj? Why are these clothes important?

A: When performing the Hajj a Muslim wears the Ihram clothes.(Ihram is a state of sacredness for a Muslim enters I order to perform the Hajj) These clothes consist of two simple white sheets. For men first sheet is hang on the shoulder and the other one on the waist or hips, also held by a belt. For the ladies to wear something that cover Body and hair.

A: like I stated earlier, when a Muslim wears this white clothes on the time of Hajj it symbolizes equality. It shows that all humans are equal, so all wear white.

Are there distinct steps or stages throughout the Hajj? Could you briefly describe them?

Answer:

1. Be sure you are ready to perform the Hajj. As I would assume with other religious you when you're worshiping you must undertake tranquility and loyalty to God(Allah).

Proceeding towards the Kaabah. When you see it you recite " Allahu Akbar"( God is Great). And followed by three times saying " La iLaha iLLahu"( There is no God, but God).
8. Performing the TAWAF. TAWAF is when you circle around the kaabah.

There are more that I cannot think of. But these are some of the few basic steps.

What is the significance of Circling the Kaaba?

A: The idea of circling around the Kaabah is a belief to shows that live should circulate around the worship of God, and his messenger. It's believed that the Kaaba has a black stone that is sent from heaven, if you touch/kiss the stone all your sins are forgiven. The only thing I could compare it to is like getting baptized.

How does the Hajj play a role in other aspects of Islam?

A: Hajj is like a milestone as Muslims. It's a big step for all muslims that wants to go there. It's a manifestation. It puts your life at a state for awaiting purification. And it's stated for your sins to be forgiven if you perform the hajj it right. Well, with the right in intention. Again, It's a purification center for Muslim. What I'm trying to say is as a Muslim modest is the number one key, and performing Hajj that's the big break for modest ness test. It's challenge for a Muslim to do
