The Five People You Meet in Heaven, which was written by Mitch Albon, is a fiction and I found myself very fond in reading the story. It is a general age type of reading material, but somehow I believe the storyline gave its focus more towards the adult readers. Its elements of humane values and life notifying messages that took over the plot made me wanted to flip through the pages for even more. I was carried away enjoying the uniqueness of how the plot was being organized. This story is set in various time settings where it reverses its order by starting the story with the main character’s death on his birthday, continued with the beginning of the emotionally powerful story in accordance to his journey to the heaven.
The story started as it portrayed Eddie, an elderly man as the protagonist main character who is working at an amusement park, Ruby Pier, having his last breath before encountering his own death on his 83rd birthday. After his heroic attempt saving a girl from a dropping malfunction ride at the park which causes his death, he then realized that he is in heaven wandering without knowing anything and being clueless. It’s a beneficial story to be read as it distributes its life’s values and also initiate the readers to be a virtuous person with their true goals of living life and preparing themselves for the hereafter. Although it comprises some destructing elements in the story, it still embraces a creative plot with outstanding positive yielding effects towards the readers. The author did a good job in writing such an imaginary story with astonishing plot and creams to be delivered. By right, after giving a thoughtful reading towards this book, I believed the reader should gain not only the messages but also the skills in literacy and writing

How have your life lessons shaped your future? In the book, “The Five People You Meet In Heaven,” by Mitch Albom, the main character, Eddie is taught various life lessons from people who have affected his life. The most valuable lessons to be learned from Eddie’s journey are: that there are no random acts, that life has to end, but love does not, and that sacrifice is not something to regret. We are all connected, everything that we do affects not only ourselves but the people around us.…

Edgar Allen Poe is an American writer that is world renown for his dark writing style, which allows the reader to be engulfed into his tales of horror and mystery. The Cask of Amontillado is a classic Poe style story that is littered with unexpected twists and turns around every corner. The reader is able to watch from afar as the main character seeks revenge against his “friend” Fortunato. Poe’s ability to create a character like Montresor amazes me because of the unique way in which he reveals the main characters poor mental health without directly stating that he is insane. The gradual realization of this is what makes the story so unique to Poe’s style.…
