Starts with a mournful ending, but it is also a beginning of another eternal, beatific life. The five persons you meet in heaven is an illustrious novel that was written in a drab tone, yet meaningful themes by Mitch Albom and published in 2003. The story undoubtedly describes a 83-years-old man, Eddie, who had a wretched life and worked regrettably as a maintenance at Ruby Pier. Moreover, Ruby Pier is an amusement park, where everyone of all ages can be entertained by; however, it is also the predominant place where all of Eddie’s conflicts commenced, from his childhood throughout his maturity. On his 83th birthday, a dreadful accident occurs at Ruby Pier, one of the carnival carts has a mechanical problem and it falls from above; Eddie tries to save the little girl that sits underneath the cart by pushing her out of the way, also accidently replaces himself for her. Nevertheless, he does not get out in time and is unfortunately killed by the falling cart. Notwithstanding the calamity, in a surprising way, he get to meet these five people that were once intercoursed with his life on earth. From this novel, I get to learn all of the four valuable lessons from these people just like Eddie, and somehow I gradually understand the meanings behind the crestfallen lifespan story of Eddie. Despite by the fact that he did not live as a pleased person when he is still alive, but now he finally finds his happiness in heaven and the answers for all of his concerns. I’d recommended for who are in despair, absence of hope, and I guarantee this novel will lift up the reader's spirit when they are having a hard
