In his child and adult life, it had impacted negatively resulting being inactive toward his emotion and lives and losing good things he could get and face. However, it had impacted positively in the end. It taught Eddie how to forgive and forget and let Eddie rewind his memory about his life. This relationship gives an insight that it is not a merely things happening in the novel but also can happen in real life. The novel taught a lesson or a theme to forgive and forget and I felt that forgiving and forgetting was a hard thing do since it was hard for me too.
