Administrators of schools serving Native American students have a unique role as leaders of technology. In this study nine principals from federally-funded, BIE schools that serve Native American students were interviewed about various topics related to technology leadership. The study was based off of the National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators, and found that even though these principals were meeting various components of the NETS-A in distinct ways, they were missing many components of the standards entirely. This study was done to see what the five NETS-A looked like in Native American schools and what challenges school leaders faced when trying to become effective technology leaders.
