There are an external and an internal openness to experience (Moss, Mcfarland, Ngu & Kijowska. (2007). External openness to experience means that people are willing to take new actions, understand new values and ideas. They are willing to learn from surroundings and are not afraid to change themselves if they see other good qualities from others that they can learn from. Being internal openness to experience means that one is willing to understand others’ feelings, interests, and creativity. Hence, he is willing to open up his inner world to others in exchange. By willing to accept new experience can enhance one’s work fulfilment and support the positive results, for instance, increasing efficiency, boosting and more prominent general life fulfilment (Landy, 1978). It is necessary for one to learn to accept others’ opinions if he wants to seek help from others. Or else, one cannot solve his problems even if he receives solutions from others. According to Baumgartner (2011), creativity means opening up to something new, trying to exceed one’s limitations and trying out better outcomes. In order to be creative, one must not be restrained by his traditional thoughts. Traditions were once new things to our ancestors. The things and knowledge we own nowadays are from the efforts and intelligence of the people in the past. They have the ambitions and hard work to create new things. It is worth noting that by being creative, one can monitor himself in learning, reflect from failures and recognize the values of the things around him. Through practicing the self-leadership skills such as self-evaluation, one can eventually learn about his own strengths and weakness and focus on what he is good at. Hence, his productivity can be enhanced. Also, one should take up the responsibility for his own creativity. One should not use his creativity to harm others’ interests to benefit his own.
