It was difficult to try to explain what people in the photo felt and what their looks truly identified about their emotions. Considering this, if the writing program changes the book to a book related to Michael Brown, the responses would most likely be more detailed and accurate. For instance, I have protested and rallied about the Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown cases so I can connect to the emotions and expand on the thoughts people had at that moment. When writing about Trayvon Martin in my unit three essay about racial profiling, I was able to expand on my ideas and provide a lot of facts.
