In my opinion, I think that the event of Julius Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus joining forces to create the First Triumvirate would be first most important event that caused the Roman Republic to fall. Augustus Caesar becoming emperor of Rome would be the second major event. Last but not least, I think that Julius Caesar being assassinated, would be the third major event that caused the Roman Republic to fall.
