Personal Narrative: The First Time

I was 12 years old the first time I snuck out in the middle of the night, I was 14 years old the first time I snuck out and got caught, and I was 15 years old the last time I was sneaking out ever. It was October 7, 2017, on a very dark cold night around 10pm, and I was about to go to sleep but I decided to post on Snapchat, “Text me, I’ll answer this time :)” Yes, haha, “this time”, see I don’t really answer anyone, but by choice, mostly because I’d rather watch netflix and everyone who texts me is a boring texter. Well this guy, whom we are going to call “Michael”, texted me. Before I start I met Michael freshman year which was last year, he was a senior and we both went to the same school. It was in fourth period, I was going to the gym to buy chips for me and my …show more content…
Then my stupid ass said, “I’m sorry next time you invite me somewhere, I swear i'll go.” So he did that. He said, “Bet right now!”, well I had the choice to not go, I know, but I couldn't just be like no, like I couldn't back, Yes I know I could! Yes I know I sound stupid asf, who the hell sneaks out with a stranger at the middle of the night? See, I'm the type of person who is down for anything, like “Aye let's go pop someone's tires?” Bet. “Lets steal my mom's car and go honk nonstop and peoples houses?” Bet. Anyways, I just agreed, well I should have not gone in the first place, trust me I know, it's my fault, i'm not writing this for that people feel bad for me, or look at me as a victim or feel sorry for me, okay, it’s the only interesting thing that happened this year and I learned a lesson, well lessons, so i'd like to share this story for that matter. Anyhow, my gut told me not to go, but I still went either ways,I figured what could really go wrong? We’ll just talk. I don't know what was wrong with me, sneaking out at night with a 19 year old? Wow i'm super stupid. Anyhow, I waited for my parents to fall asleep, they fell asleep around 11:30 pm so i sneaked out through the

This fall break was a fall break that was absolutely but on the top of my list for the most memorable breaks that ill never forget and cherish forever in my heart. My 2015 fall break kicked off with the school movie night that happened in a way that I never thought of going down. I was surprised to be the first one there when I’m always late to church. The movie that we watched was “ the Martian “ that was honestly boring and used so many big words that I’ve never heard of or even use myself. While everyone was in the movies enjoying their greasy, salty popcorn, stall candies and there watery drinks I was outside in the cold waiting with my friend carol for her friend who never showed up.…

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

We texted back and forth, arguing about which group we could go in, where pictures would be taken, and the whole nine yards. This situation frustrated me so much that I had to turn off my phone for a while and panic. I told myself to go with whatever group he wanted, but I did not have the guts to be in a group with classmates I did not know, so I decided not to go at all. Maybe it was not just the poor planning. I really did have a lot of anxiety about going to my first school dance.…

It was a beautiful summer night and my friends had all just come back from their respective colleges. We were all sitting on his patio drinking some beers telling our stories from our freshman year. Out of my friend group, 4/5 of us go to large state schools and it seemed that all of our stories were making Ted (community college) jealous of our time. Looking to make up for his lost partying, he proposed a great idea saying we should head up to Bethany Beach, DE for the weekend. At first, we thought this was another one of the great ideas we always came up with which would immediately be forgotten in the morning, but sure enough we received a group text from Ted the next morning with a picture of his parents beach house keys.…

Friendship Shouldn't be Hard It was a prepossessing and extravagant day all the kids were running around on the high palace like buildings with the squishy, but still painful, tire chip ground under them. I knew that this sunny bright day could turn dark at any second if this kid knew about what she had said. My old friend could find a way to be mean to anyone without even a reason. She could do it in less than a second. She did it to me and I didn't even realize it until my other friend showed it to me…

We had been good friends from high school although neither of us could recall how we met. He had come from the private boy’s school down the street from my all-girls preparatory academy and that’s all I knew. He only called me when it was convenient for him or if he wanted something, and he liked to treat me like an object that he could lead on. After all, I was a whore. College was coming to an end and he had just broken up with his college girlfriend, Abby when he raped me.…
